Armstrong Custom Homes

The son of a master carpenter, Dave has been building homes for his company, Armstrong Custom Homes, for more than 28 years.While establishing his building company he also spent 21 years with Sears, lastly as their Regional Manager for Builder Contract Sales. In addition to a successful commercial, residential and remodeling company, Dave is a Green Building Certifier at both the State and National level.Furthermore, he has operated Armstrong Real Estate Inspections for over 15 years, offering both residential and commercial building inspection services, during the construction period for compliance with Draw Schedules and as part the pre-sale due diligence. He is also actively involved as an Asset Manager to several regional banks in Brevard County. As a member of the Home Builders and Contractors Association of Brevard, Dave served as President in 1998, 2001, and 2002. He has been a Builder Director since 1991 and a Life Director since 1998. Dave has been a member and Chair of numerous committees, and belongs to the newly established local Green Building Council.For his involvement with the HBCA of Brevard, Dave has twice been named the Brevard Builder of the Year (2001 and 2004) and he is a recipient of the HBCA of Brevard’s prestigious Eagle Award. With the Florida Home Builders Association, Dave has held numerous key positions, including Secretary, Treasurer and served as Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee, Finance Committee and twice serving as Area IV Builder Vice President and is a Life Director. Within the National Association of Home Builders, Dave has served on many committees including Education, Custom Builders Committee, Build-Pac Board of Trustees, Remodelers Council, 50+ Housing Board of Trustees and Systems Built Housing. In addition to his association and professional work, Dave is actively involved in his community. He is the Past President of the Palm Bay Rotary Club, a member of the Indialantic Rotary Club, Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, a founding member of the Palm Bay High School Construction Academy, and a volunteer educator with Junior Achievement of Brevard.
