Kirk Grycan, president of Amkirk, is an Olds College-trained, Alberta-Certified Journeyman Landscape Gardener and Level One retaining wall installer with over 20 years of experience. Kirk apprenticed with Greenland Garden Centre in Sherwood Park, Alberta from 1990 to 1995. Kirk worked with us during the entire project and if there were any changes to the design, he always consulted with us and provided alternative ideas for our consideration. We are extremely satisfied with the landscaping & design work of Kirk Grycan and his team. We provided Kirk with a design plan to help him understand our vision for this blank slate of a yard. Kirk has a meticulous eye for detail and great vision to ensure excellent results. His team handpicked & placed many tons of boulders in our backyard, along with creating 2 water features and multiple entertaining areas. Kirk suggested great plants that would compliment our setting and thrive in our yard and his plantings are thriving. We couldn’t be happier with our back yard… perfect for relaxing and entertaining! I worked along side Kirk for 2 weeks at an inside Watergarden pond build. The experience was a very good experience for me personally and it was hard work. Kirk is a real pro at installing this and very easy to work alongside. The design build he provided was a processed that the owners and Kirks company planned out, but as the project started to take shape adjustments were made to the project which enhanced the area and made the project even more powerful Kirk has great vision and is easy to understand on his instructions as the build went on He considers all ideas and provides direction to all levels of personal involved in the project I would be more than happy to recommend his companies service and would work with him again Bob Sparrow Hornwood Agencies Inc

Kirk and his team helped us transform a bare urban backyard into a welcoming, relaxing space that incorporates the beauty of nature while continuing to be low maintenance. The crew worked hard, were pleasant to deal with, and cleaned up after themselves. Our ideas going into the project were quite vague, but Kirk brought some good suggestions to the table and we are very pleased with the end result.

Amkirk took a landscape design for our house and turned it into a backyard that allows the opportunity to spend many lovely hours together as a family. It was designed such a way that our family is able play many sports in the back yard like beach volleyball, golf, ice hockey and ball. The Amkirk team was a pleasure to have working in our yard. They were pleasant, flexible, entertaining and helpful. His advice in picking suitable plants was much appreciated. After the job was done, he was more than willing to answer questions and offer advice. Well done Kirk.
