Alan designed our three-story contemporary, LEED rated, craftsman single-family dwelling in San Mateo, The end product was a an attractive, well designed home that worked for our large family needs. As customers, we were obsessive about measurements and details. He was a joy to work with and we looked forward to our visits! Highly recommended, will definitely use again for our next project.

Alan became a good friend when we worked on a major residential build in Los Altos Hills. He designed a gorgeous 6000 ft house making the most of the 3 acre hillside setting and the extensive peninsula views. I found him to be a very talented architect with the skills needed to design the extensive pier and beam foundations, to layout a delightful living space including a magnificent kitchen, a pool and an expansive entertaining deck. Alan was able to translate a general design idea into detailed working drawings that were "right first time" and which were easy to get through the various city department approvals. He understands planning and building regulations and how to work with the authorities! I find him to be a man of high integrity, conscientious, hard working and very easy to communicate with... and he won't let you down and he won't overcharge....

Alan is an experienced registered professional with extensive knowledge of local and state codes and requirements. He understands clients' needs, and knows how to apply his expertise and talent to each project individually. There could be a certain budget restriction or a demand for an extravagant architectural design. In either case, Alan is an architect that can adjust his architectural eye and work with you. He puts clients' needs first. As an engineer, I rate his understanding and sensitivity to the structural needs of a project to be at the very highest level.
