Mayberry Workshop is a Community-Focused Architecture and Development Firm specializing in New Home, Accessory Dwelling Units, and Renovations. Mayberry Workshop is named after our Great-Grandfather's workshop behind our family home in Massachusetts, where he was a carpenter and model maker. The word “Mayberry" is synonymous with "Community". We work with you to create places to live, work and play in Silicon Valley. Founding Principal, Architect & Developer, Adam Mayberry, is a Graduate of California Polytechnic State University- San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor’s of Architecture. His passion is to develop innovative housing and retail solutions in the Valley of Opportunity. Vice President & head of construction, WM. Aaron Van Roo, graduated from University of California Berkeley with a Bachelor’s of Arts. As a team, we create a vision and ethos for the project from the very beginning and carry that through our decisions making processes until the keys are handed over or the ribbon is cut. Nothing is as important to us as experiencing a space through the process. We will transform the space you envision in your mind into a reality, and as it progresses something uniquely special you didn't know was possible will come to life. We are a Workshop. We iterate and explore possibilities. We get things done.

Adam and his team provide outstanding support and coordination. His designs consider the three keys to a quality project that make his work stand apart. I believe these three keys to success to be practical design with consideration to anthropometrics and the daily use of the space; coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, finishes and structural requirements for a smooth building process; and a keen awareness of cost early in the design process. Adam has become one of our key design partners, helping our Clients put their ideas on paper and working with them through the decisions critical to project success. The thing I appreciate most about Adam is that he is personally involved in the entire process including the preparation of construction documents. He is always careful to be open to feedback and carefully consider the implications of decisions as they are made. A great team member!

I had an excellent experience working with Adam to design our granny unit (ADU). He did a great job in multiple aspects of the project. I particularly appreciated Adam's collaborative approach. He listened to all my ideas and translated them into both 2-D drawings and 3-D models that really helped me visualize how it would turn out. He has a thorough knowledge of the city's rules and how to work with the officials to get through the permit process. And the end result is beautiful!
