Mark and Larry were the best - smart, creative, professional and very talented. They did a wonderful job designing a dream art studio for me. I would recommend them highly. We are lucky to have such exciting and practical architects in our area. They do work all over the country but are happy to accommodate us locals as well.

Acanthus Architecture has done two projects for my family. The first was in Roaring Gap, NC which was a 7,000 square foot ( design build ) mountain house. Our second project was a complete renovation of an existing home in Winston-Salem. Their work for me reflects classicism and tradition with charm and whimsy. This firm understands client services as well as clever innovation and engineers each project to reflect individual style and taste.

This is the second time my wife and I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work with Mark Glen at Acanthus Architecture (once for our primary home in Greensboro and most recently in the mountains of NC). I can say without reservation that we have really enjoyed working with Mark and his firm, both personally and professionally. Mark brings to bear tremendous experience, insight, creativity, and an attention to detail unlike any I have seen. He is relentless (almost maniacal) in getting the look and feel of every little detail just right. And as a result, the end product and craftsmanship speaks for itself in quality and design. Special thanks to Acanthus, Mark and his team for creating something so special for our family, in a place where we spend so much time; our home.

Mark Glen and Acanthus Architecture designed our home for us several years ago. Mark was meticulous in his design, with everything well thought out and planned. His attention to detail was unsurpassed, as well as his follow through with our builder and attention at the work site. The Acanthus staff were very professional and they were always available for questions or discussions. From our first meeting with Mark, we were treated with respect and he listened to all of our thoughts and ideas during the planning stage and beyond. All deadlines were met and he exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend the firm for any project, large or small.
