I recently remodeled my kitchen and A-American Contractors and Suppliers is the only outfit I will use for tile and countertops. They have the best countertop surface selection, not dated examples from Home Depot and Lowes. Their prices many times are cheaper! They have expert designers and installers. Diana at the Niles location was so helpful in helping my wife and I with Quartz selection and hardware ordering - drawer and door pulls. A great selection of pulls, the quality is high end in look and in contstruction. Yes we ordered similar style samples on Amazon, only to find cheap alternatives made in China. If you're doing a kitchen right with high end materials and finishes, you dont cut corners on the most visible parts. Their final measurement for countertops was a breeze. They do their cut outs on their premises and used a stylus system to exactly measure points for each countertop piece. No excessive grinding or cutting on my jobsite. The install team was quick and clean. Nice guys. They also have the most comprehensive tile install systems. I used their Schluter tread profiles and edging for our steps and backsplashes and tile leveling systems for install. Worked perfectly. Good selection of sets and mortars. You can't go wrong with A-American. I also used them for my one bathroom and will my next, plus a dining room buffet I'm making.

A-American did an excellent job providing countertops for both my kitchen and bathroom. I am very happy with the quality of the work, and equally as as happy with the great customer service that I received from Alin. I found a beautiful natural stone at A-American that I did not see at the many other places that I looked. There selection is definitely more unusual and not run-of-the-mill. I will definitely use A-American again.

Would never shop here again. Made every excuse to not return my perfect stair posts because I didn’t have the boxes they came in. They were extremely difficult to work with and would not give me the time of day or help in any way. I am sure if I were a Romanian contractor they wouldn’t have thought twice. A blessing in disguise as I was planning to purchase all my wood floors, cabinets, and countertop materials from there. The problem with businesses like this, they are always thinking of the short game and don’t understand the importance of a good customer experience.

The Caesarstone (Frosty Carrina) quartz countertops from A-American are gorgeous. Ryan was so helpful throughout the process and gave me prompt quotes on several different materials (I also considered Corian, quartzite, and other brands of quartz). Ryan was very communicative throughout. The final price was quite reasonable, and in-line with the big box stores, but the service at A-American is leaps and bounds ahead. A-American was also more competitive than other installers. The installation went smoothly. The joinder of the two pieces of quartz is almost invisible. The material is proving to be very durable, and I love the full height backsplash that is so easy to clean (no grout!). The light color with the very subtle marble-like pattern provides a great contrast to the natural oak cabinetry, and completes the modern but classic look.

Diana at A-American was fantastic! We worked on a kitchen for a cabin project we are building. She was knowledgeable and all around helpful. I enjoyed working with her and will do so for future projects!

Even though I was building out of state, I came back to Abe at A-American for my flooring. He had done all of the hardwood and tile flooring in my Chicago home, and I knew that there was no one else who could compete on quality, service, and price. I'm so glad I did, because Abe brought the materials in promptly, delivered them, all at a great price, and everything looks wonderful!
