A cozy nook, we utilised space to create a tiny but happy dining area to bring the four family
members together.
The geometric grey Bharat Floor tiles from the kitchen seamlessly travel here too. The high vaulted
ceiling in semi circular arches, the deep grey backdrop and the white orb lights make for a
wonderfully classy play of elements. The table itself is designed in house. We mounted an oval
shaped grey marble slab over a wood console. Chairs are upholstered in a plush grey too. A brass
clock watches over this pretty scene.
The high vaulted ceiling continues into the corridor beyond which leads to the inner bedchambers of
the flat. Albeit a short walk, we still managed to create a niche for storage and shelves above to
display artefacts here.

This dining area is part of a large great room that needed separation and maximum seating. We sourced this vintage farm table that can seat 10 people if necessary. The art wall is a collection of vintage, original, and reproduction art. Paris bistro chairs add textural interest and a laid back vibe to the space. Custom board and batten was added to the walls and tongue and groove was added to the ceiling. Both painted in Benjamin Moore White Dove. A grouping of vintage replica lighting is hung over the dining table. The barnwood flooring add texture and depth while being beach sand and dog friendly.

A suburban Philadelphia mid-century home in Media, Pennsylvania needed an updated kitchen and dining area for a professional couple with no children. The contemporary open design reflects their lifestyle and how they wanted to use the space. The light filled modern space created is dramatic yet inviting and serves as a backdrop to showcase this couple’s growing art collection. Nestled in the trees, this suburban home feels like it’s in the country while just a short distance to the city. Photography by Jay Greene.

An informal, highly functional yet stylish dining space for a busy family who have lots of visitors and do lots of entertaining.
Hand made dining table in reclaimed wood and steel base with matching bench offers a robust solution but with character. Honey coloured rattan chairs provide great texture and match in brilliantly with this pendant light which hangs low over the table. Roller blinds behind pendants soften the look.
