Edgy, electic,mix modern with vintage Dining room: Bright blue Eames chairs surround a Saarinen table in the dining room. Flocked wallpaper back a pair of cabinets inspired by an antique piece Applegate came across in Mexico. The cabinet doors were painted by local artist Chesna Koch, who adapted Diego Rivera's "Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park.'' In the dining room, the clients already had the white marble-topped Saarinen table and light blue Eames chairs. Above them, Applegate installed C.L. Sterling & Son's stunning Orb lamp, made of rock crystal woven together with jeweler's wire. Other additions to the room included flocked wallpaper and a pair of cabinets that Applegate designed.
