5. Frame a sectionOnly a section of the original brickwork is exposed in this house, due to some of it being damaged. The surrounding white wall frames the brick background, which also serves as a great place to hang timber geometric-shaped shelves.

Framing a section of brick wall turns it into a picture, and there's a ledge to put some knick knacks on to further decorate. Very effective if you can afford a thicker wall than usual without losing too much floor area.
