Two Bedroom Flat in Camden
I staged this 2-bed flat trying to create a wow factor once you are inside as the building itself was not appealing. The flat had a great layout allowing for a great first impression when opening the front door - there was a space on the opposite wall for a painting and also viewers could get a glimpse of the living room to one side and a bedroom to the other side of the corridor. With large striking wall hanging and on trend furniture - olive green sofa, cream boucle armchairs, greenery, the effect was of a comfortable, bright space. The main bedroom was large enough to accommodate a desk which is almost a must in the current climate of young professionals working from home.
The flat was previously rented and the tenants used living room as a bedroom, the second bedroom was crammed with a small sofa, dining table and other bits and pieces. The owners asked that I keep as much of the existing furniture as possible, so I kept the beds and dining table. I organised painting the walls and ceilings and after reshuffling the beds where they needed to be, in the bedrooms, and re-instating living room into its intended purpose, it all made more sense. The flat sold on the first day of viewing to the delight of the owners, and myself.
