Exterior surfaces are kept immaculately clean with weekly “white glove” service. Window sills, balustrades, fence pickets, sculptures, fixtures and furnishings (including umbrellas), are hand-wiped to remove dust, spider webs, and other debris. Hard surfaces such as the bluestone terraces are swept and hosed-off. Because crews are not permitted to park their trucks and trailers on the street, they must utilize the granite drive court for parking, loading, and unloading. To protect the surface under and around the vehicles the crews cover the entire area with burlap, tarps, and plywood during each twice-weekly visit. Photography by Linda Oyama Bryan
