The use of this elegant glass and onyx table really defined this space. I decided to keep the large window undressed. One tree was cleared in the garden and the rest of the shrubbery was cleared and trimmed to maintain privacy from the road but allow in maximum light. A cast iron gothic style candle holder adds visual weight to the base of the window and distracts from the chalet opposite during the day whilst suggesting cozy evening light for dining by. The two picture frames with lace add colour to the space and are in keeping with the arts and crafts theme. The carpet stains were successfully removed with specialist cleaning.
