Stacked Stones

http://aimeeblackledge.bigcartel.com In this monoprint, I explore the layers, colours and textures of smooth stones in a body of water. This work is based on my experiences of growing up in Michigan and my visits to the shores of Lake Superior, where vibrant vanes of violet Amethyst quartz can be found along the coastal rocks.
