What Houzz contributors are saying:
4. GlassA vibrant tile available in a variety of bold colours. Its reflective quality provides a dramatic, unique and distinctive appearance, lending itself to feature walls or accent panels or strips. Because of its luminous quality, it comes to life and creates a lovely effect when featured with strip lighting. No sealing is required as it is naturally impervious to water and is stain-resistant. Good for: Contemporary bathrooms. For use on feature walls, panels and shower recesses. Also great for those who want that wow-factor without the maintenance.
5. Get the drain rightSetting the drain requires a lot more than just dropping it in somewhere in the middle. Many drains have zero room for adjustment, and getting them perfect requires exact planning. Have your plumber position the drain pipe close to, but not exactly in, the finished position until after you and your tile installer determine the best tile layout for the shower. A shower will need flood testing, so this work will be checked later.
