South Barrington Residence

This octagon shaped kitchen was in need of an aesthetic and functional update. We used rich materials and fine details that fill the space more accurately than what was there previously. The client was happy with their existing cooktop with downdraft, however I felt the space was missing a dramatic focal point. We added the chimney hood that spans to the turret ceiling as a non functioning piece. We also extended their kitchen outside of the octagon area by removing a pantry. The added cabinets and counter top space more than make up for the pantry and desk area that was lost. The mixer stand with roll out shelf below is a great way to store your Kitchenaid. We equipped this cabinet with an outlet so the homeowner will never need to lift and move this appliance to use it.
