Small Gold Coast Condo Kitchen Remodel

A small, challenging, kitchen remodel. A space that was part of the living area yet needed to be incorporated into the living room. White cabinets from our custom shop in a simple Shaker style. A taupe charcoal CaesarStone quartz countertop (“Raven”) covers the kitchen cabinets, but the island is a dark espresso walnut with a white CaesarStone countertop (“Misty Carerra”). The island is small with only 12”deep cabinets that allow for a 12”bar on the living room side. The furniture look of the island helps incorporate the kitchen into the living space and makes the transition from one to the other less obtrusive. We used a Kohler pullout kitchen faucet from the Forte collection and Art Deco pendant lighting over the island/bar. Photo by Design Build 4U Chicago.
