Introduce open shelves for keeping folded clothes such as tops, jeans and other casual wear. There should be a clearance of at least 12 to 15 inches between each shelf.Go for a shallow tray with drawer inserts to neatly organise accessories like bangles, makeup, necklaces, belts, earrings, sunglasses, watches and so on.It is not advisable to store your footwear in open shelves within the wardrobe (as in western countries) because in India, our footwear are prone to trapping a lot of dust and bacteria from the outdoors. Keep your shoes in a separate cabinet or dedicate a lower drawer for your shoes.7 Tricks to an Organised Wardrobe

15. Divide and conquerAre your drawers out of control? Bring order back to these pull-out storage spaces by fitting them with handy drawer dividers and inserts that will keep them neat and orderly – that’s right, no more tangled jewellery, crumpled ties, kinked belts, misshaped bras or lonely, single socks (hurrah)! They’ll also help prevent delicate or fragile accessories, such as lacy lingerie or sunglasses, from getting damaged, as each item (or similar items that have been grouped together) will have its own designated space, rather than being thrown in a drawer with other wares they could become tangled with and end up getting scratched or snagged.Learn from these expert tips on how to organise the wardrobe

Another good use for drawers is jewellery storage using stacking trays. Divide and conquer is the strategy in this instance.”
