I personally love this raw type floor. Not exactly sure how it is achieved. Not advocating for your kitchen just sharing.

Warmth of the dining design, fireplace with the chairs infront and the table across the way from it.

You can always pull up chairs - a place ( hearth ) to put up your feet is nice
