Stairs remodeling and Railing
Adding new balusters or spindles can add support to the handrail. If you want to add elegance to the staircase, a cost-effective way is to replace your old balusters with appealing wooden or metal ones.
Replacing the handrail can also add a delightful appearance to the structure. We can help you to change the old handrail for superior customization. You can select from different shapes and materials to remodel your staircase.
Replacing the wooden treads, known as recapping, can allow an installation based on what you desire regarding the design of the staircase. We can install new treads made from red oak (our most popular), maple, cherry and much more!
Staircase sanding and staining will involve a fresh coat of stain or sanding that can transform the look of the staircase for modernization. Our team are experts in improving and redesigning your staircases to give them the look of your dreams.

Linc Thelen Design
This couple purchased a second home as a respite from city living. Living primarily in downtown Chicago the couple desired a place to connect with nature. The home is located on 80 acres and is situated far back on a wooded lot with a pond, pool and a detached rec room. The home includes four bedrooms and one bunkroom along with five full baths.
The home was stripped down to the studs, a total gut. Linc modified the exterior and created a modern look by removing the balconies on the exterior, removing the roof overhang, adding vertical siding and painting the structure black. The garage was converted into a detached rec room and a new pool was added complete with outdoor shower, concrete pavers, ipe wood wall and a limestone surround.
Details:

Rhodes Architecture + Light
The interiors feature three bedrooms and bathrooms, a formal entry hall, office, and open living-dining-kitchen space. Dark, almost black, stained quarter-sawn oak cabinetry contrasts light walls and flooring on the interior of the house. Coffered ceilings, glass, maple floors, and integral lighting result in light Mediterranean spaces complemented with natural stone tile, mosaics and colored glass fixtures.
