Provencal Mas

Since the front landscaping had been installed the day before the shoot and consisted of starter plants, I used a long lens to compact the perspective and give the fledgling plants a chance show a bit of green and minimize the vast expanses of brown mulch. This also allows the house itself to take precedence over the landscaping. The early morning light hit the house but left a lot of the newly planted foreground landscape in shadow further de-emphasizing it. Peter D'Aprix Photographer
