Princess St. Heritage House

Built in 1902, the elegant Edwardian house of a professional pair with a baby on the way had only one bathroom and just a tub—a renovation and the creation of an additional en suite was requisite. The main was returned to Edwardian glory, with grey wainscoting framing the traditional claw-foot tub to create a crisp 21st century contrast to the all-white room. Shaped out of a storage room, the new en suite tips its cap to classic but takes a sharper turn towards modern, with an oversized Italian washbasin, marble, randomly offset subway tiles in the steam shower and cove lighting to suggest a higher ceiling.
