1. Nightstand cupboardsWhile it’s customary to have a nightstand by your bed, why waste all the precious vertical space above it? Fill up the ceiling corners on either side of your bed with extended cupboards that connect to your nightstand. In this nautical bedroom, tall white double-decker storage units flank the bed. The units pull double-duty, serving as convenient nightstands while providing a tall, deep vault of storage for the room’s occupant.

Take a cue from the storage unit in this wee room. The wall space left over on either side of the bed has been used to install segregated wardrobes. The clever design also accommodates side tables.
