Openness but a little dark on trim no to ceiling

Like how these rooms just flow into each other

I Don't like this room at all. It's TOO rustic, the floors and ceilings are too rough. Even though it has high wood ceilings with wood beams (I normally like this), it's Too high, too cavernous, I Don't like granite countertops (I like quartz or butcher block, although I know it's not easy to clean). The island area is too - traditional and too black, too dark. Don't like it.

This hard wood is cool but maybe it's not light color enough???
