Outdoor Lighting Perspectives
This landscape lighting project was primarily in the back yard, but this photo shows an interesting retro-fit lighting effect we installed in the front yard. This existing house number box was lit from the inside by our wide-effect Ozark fixture, making for a stunning glow effect.
While this was an existing box, our in-house metal fabrication facility has crafted similar boxes and shapes with cutouts of all sorts. These are great ways to illuminate a street number or the name of a property, and is available in any desired size or finish.
These work particularly well here in Canada, since the point of illumination is shielded from snow, making them excellent year-round effects for important house number and sign lighting.
Xanadu Organic Gardens
We added a row of tropicals and flowering plants in custom painted planters in the front to act as a privacy partition as well as a safety border. The corner has a large custom planter with a dwarf temple tree and the main wall was made the focal point with moon planters and bubble planters.
User
A private garden designed, with minimal maintenance in mind, for a newly converted flat in Ealing. It has a long taxus hedge to provide year-round interest viewable from the property as well as to act as a backdrop to a Prunus ‘Accolade’ when it is in flower and leaf. This cherry tree is positioned centrally opposite a cantilevered glass box extruding from the facade of the building.

The synthetic turf was laid down to keep debris and maintenance to a minimum around the pool. The homeowner wanted a variety of textures and colors to bring their backyard together.
YardDoc
YardDoc designed and created multiple rock landscapes for customers in Austin, TX. These drought resistant landscapes liven up your yard with unique designs and individual beauty. While we craft every landscape to the yard and customer, we present examples here to inspire you.
Working with the existing trees and plants, we built this landscape to match the wrought iron fence.
First, we placed a limestone barrier in a design reminiscent of a lake emptying into a river. Outside the retainer stone, we laid larger, red river rocks. On the inside we placed smaller, black rocks to highlight the rest of our modifications.
We built a stone fire pit in the center then crafted stone benches for seating around the campfire. We built a path our of large, flat stones that bring the different colors and textures together. Finally, we placed one last stone that, while decorative, can also be used as an end table, if necessary.

A dry creek bed snakes through the planted area and is functional - taking rainwater from the front yard and funneling it under the driveway.
