Mayland | A Flexible Family Space

A large part of working out the design of this kitchen was simply talking to Gaby about how the family spend their time. It became clear in conversation that despite having 7 mouths to feed, breakfast is usually spread across a couple of hours, with each family member coming to grab a bagel or a coffee when most convenient. Therefore the breakfast bar, designed to seat 2, was ideal. It becomes the 'breakfast station' with each member of the family getting their chance to use it in turn.
