Creative Garden Spaces
This project was designed to compliment the clients simple lifestyle and minimalist taste. The entry courtyard is cool and clean, the sideyard has a wide expanse of lawn surrounded with low maintenance shrubs and trees. The back deck was made for entertaining. Eating and living areas defined by not only furniture but with large planters used as "room" dividers. The rest of the garden is mass planted with groundcover, shrubs and perennials.

The Upper Garden with 'Ha-Ha' wall: One side of the sinuous retaining stone wall is faced with stone, the other face sloped and turfed, forms a green pool for the upper garden. The ha-ha wall backed by Annabelle Hydrangeas conceals the driveway from sight and extends the view to the lower garden as one looks out from the house through the Zelkovas. They are planted between the hydrangeas and act as a first buffer to the busy street set behind the Lower Garden.

Colorful and lush flowers create a magnificent border along the front drive. We combine both hardy-in-Texas perennials with season color so your landscape is beautiful each season.
The beautiful traditional architecture of this home demanded a lush English style garden design. The deep landscape beds accommodate an abundance of color and foliage interested throughout the year. The clean, contemporary pool design complements the more traditional architecture and landscape design. Put it all together and you have a beautiful and lush retreat for relaxing and entertaining in style.

The traditional fountain and surroundings are embellished with a variety of drought tolerant grasses, flowering plants and succulents. The removal of the dense and overgrown shrubs provides more outdoor living space for dining and entertaining for the homeowners' enjoyment. And now with site-appropriate plants and no lawn there is less maintenance and a lower water bill. Full color Blue stone and small mexican pebbles replace the lawn and pathways resulting in an updated and contemporary transformation. A variety of low-water plants including succulents offer year-round appeal and interest throughout the seasons. Photos and Design © Eileen Kelly, Dig Your Garden Landscape Design

A modern pool and pergola compliments the lush, European-style landscaping that continues from the front to the back landscape. Easy-to-maintain perennials and seasonal color are planted. And container gardens accent the pool area.

Low maintenance garden at a retirement village is fully accessible, and with easily accessed vegetable gardens that require no bending to maintain.
In this image you can see that the vegetable garden has been defined from the rest of the bed which is planted with drought-tolerant low screen plants, by timber edging. This clearly defines and organises the bed's different functions.

We always like to show a little bit of 'behind the scenes' from MiaFleur, so you can get a feel for the family behind the brand. This is the timeline of our garden evolution! As we're sure yours is, our home and garden is our sanctuary and we spend many hours planting, faffing, and rearranging! Would love to know what you think :-)

APLD 2021 Silver Award Winning Landscape Design. Painted galvanized troughs used for vegetables in the side yard. An expansive back yard landscape with several mature oak trees and a stunning Golden Locust tree has been transformed into a welcoming outdoor retreat. The renovations include a wraparound deck, an expansive travertine natural stone patio, stairways and pathways along with concrete retaining walls and column accents with dramatic planters. The pathways meander throughout the landscape... some with travertine stepping stones and gravel and those below the majestic oaks left natural with fallen leaves. Raised vegetable beds and fruit trees occupy some of the sunniest areas of the landscape. A variety of low-water and low-maintenance plants for both sunny and shady areas include several succulents, grasses, CA natives and other site-appropriate Mediterranean plants complimented by a variety of boulders. Dramatic white pots provide architectural accents, filled with succulents and citrus trees. Design, Photos, Drawings © Eileen Kelly, Dig Your Garden Landscape Design
