Upon entering, the Crittal-style doors reveal the beautiful interior of the kitchen, complete with a bespoke island that boasts a curved bench seat that can comfortably seat four people. The island also features seating for three, a Quooker tap, AGA oven, and a rounded oak table top, making it the perfect space for entertaining guests. The mirror splashback adds a touch of elegance and luxury, while the traditional high ceilings and bi-fold doors allow plenty of natural light to flood the room.
The island is not just a functional space, but a stunning piece of design as well. The curved cupboards and round oak butchers block are beautifully complemented by the quartz worktops and worktop break-front. The traditional pilasters, nickel handles, and cup pulls add to the timeless feel of the space, while the bespoke serving tray in oak, integrated into the island, is a delightful touch.
Designing for large spaces is always a challenge, as you don't want to overwhelm or underwhelm the space. This kitchen is no exception, but the designers have successfully created a space that is both functional and beautiful. Each drawer and cabinet has its own designated use, and the dovetail solid oak draw boxes add an elegant touch to the overall bespoke kitchen.

Chalkhouse KitchensNeutrals will never go out of fashion, they are safe, timeless and calming, but sometimes it’s good to be a little more adventurous. This couple opted for a strikingly vibrant Verdigris paint colour on most of their cabinetry, with just the island painted in a soothing greige colour Bone, both from Farrow and Ball. This room had originally been a living room with a feature chimney breast so instead of using the space for a cooker as usual, we opted to give centre stage to the Belfast sink so the owners could keep an eye on their little one in the adjoining family room when preparing food on the island. Taking the quartz upstand higher onto the chimney breast allowed for highly decorative wallpaper to be used above, without fear of it being splashed with washing up water. A tall breakfast larder on one side of the chimney is balanced by a wall unit at the other end allowing for symmetrically placed wall lights for ambient lighting, still leaving plenty of room for a full larder and American fridge freezer on the side wall (and room for the much loved goldfish in his tank). The island has side by side ovens, one a single fan oven, the other a combi microwave with a neat warming drawer below, these, coupled with a large gas hob above, create a modern range style cooking area without the need to find room on the worktop for a freestanding microwave. A casual seating area on the back of the island is handily positioned right next to the wine cooler, perfect when friends come over for drinks and dinner. On the other side of the kitchen is a bank of tall slim units, with open bookshelves for all the cookery books, one cupboard hiding access to essential pipework and the other a hidden access into the utility room behind. Much thought went into the design of the tiny utility space, which had to accommodate the washing machine, freezer, both electric and gas meters and still allow space for a pantry area for extra food storage.

Our bespoke handmade kitchens here in London normally include a kitchen island and this London townhouse kitchen was no exception.
The homeowners of this luxury kitchen in London decided to have their cabinets hand painted in Lamp Room Gray, a Farrow and Ball colour which contrasted perfectly with the Steel Grey Granite worktop.
For the island cabinets our Clients chose Railings another Farrow and Ball colour which contrasted beautifully with the brilliant white quartz worktop.
What a contrast in colour and what a contrast in design, for this beautiful London townhouse.

This client showed me a picture of a blue kitchen at the start of our journey, that was the blue she loved and wanted and we based everything around that very blue.
We completely changed the layout of this kitchen. Adding a peninsular/bar where people can sit at while the other person is cooking and ideal for quick breakfast. The bar joins the two areas together: on one side the fire place with a sofa in front, on the other side the kitchen and enormous larder unit.
We cut up an old beam from a barn and used it on the fire place, extractor fan, bar and opening towards the dining room. We matched the built in cabinets from the left and designed some matching cupboards on the right. We added 2 skylights to let the light flow in the kitchen. And we added a concrete tile floor with a little blue pattern in.

Our clients had set their minds on creating an awe-inspiring challenge of breathing new life into their historic property, where this extensive restoration project would soon include a stunning Handmade Kitchen Company classic English kitchen at its heart. They wanted something that would take them on culinary adventures and allow them to host lively gatherings.
After looking through our portfolio of projects, our clients found one particular kitchen they wanted to make happen in their home, so we copied elements of the design but made it their own. This is our Classic Shaker with a cock beaded front frame with mouldings.
The past was certainly preserved and to this day, the focus remains on achieving a delicate balance that pays homage to the past while incorporating contemporary sensibilities to transform it into a forever family home.
A larger, more open family space was created which enabled the client to tailor the whole room to their requirements. The colour choices throughout the whole project were a combination of Slaked Lime Deep No.150 and Basalt No.221, both from Little Greene.
Due to the space, an L-shaped layout was designed, with a kitchen that was practical and built with zones for cooking and entertaining. The strategic positioning of the kitchen island brings the entire space together. It was carefully planned with size and positioning in mind and had adequate space around it. On the end of the island is a bespoke pedestal table that offers comfy circle seating.
No classic English country kitchen is complete without a Shaws of Darwen Sink. Representing enduring quality and a tribute to the shaker kitchen’s heritage, this iconic handcrafted fireclay sink is strategically placed beneath one of the beautiful windows. It not only enhances the kitchen’s charm but also provides practicality, complemented by an aged brass Perrin & Rowe Ionian lever handle tap and a Quooker Classic Fusion in patinated brass.
This handcrafted drinks dresser features seamless organisation where it balances practicality with an enhanced visual appeal. It bridges the dining and cooking space, promoting inclusivity and togetherness.
Tapping into the heritage of a pantry, this walk-in larder we created for our client is impressive and matches the kitchen’s design. It certainly elevates the kitchen experience with bespoke artisan shelves and open drawers. What else has been added to the space, is a Liebherr side-by-side built-in fridge freezer and a Liebherr full-height integrated wine cooler in black.
