Heart Cypress Wood

Heart Cypress Wood from Goodwin Company. Heart Cypress is one of only a few remaining prehistoric species. Uniquely fine grained, often having 80 growth rings an inch. It adds grace and charm as paneling, trim, fireplace surrounds, mantles, whole slab tabletops, exterior projects and some flooring. Heart Cypress is more brown toned than Heart Pine and has a much more subtle grain pattern. It’s warm honey to cinnamon tan to light chocolate tones grace your walls, floor or cabinetry. These were the millennium giants of the South Eastern swamps until they were clear-cut by the early 1900s. The last time any standards were published was 1904. Photo by Goodwin Company.
