Thierry Cardineau In prime position is the cocktail bar, where a sleek, cosmic black granite counter tops a back lit dragon-stone panel. Standing by, a pair of luxe and supremely comfortable bar stools, from Hill House’s own collection, await guests wishing to sip their aperitifs whilst enjoying unparalleled views of the London skyline. Above the bar is a second wide screen TV , bordered by spotlit alcove shelving – the perfect home for rare malts or post dinner ‘digestifs’. A temperature controlled humidor for the Havanas and two wine chillers are deftly tucked out of view beneath the bar.

The major overhaul of an Edwardian semi-detached house in Weybridge, Surrey. We removed all the internal walls from the ground floor, transforming the small dingy spaces into a single enormous bright and airy open-plan area. The style is minimalist with hints of the original period features here and there. The kitchen is gloss white painted with a granite worktops and porcelain floor tiles.

Accoya was used for all the superior decking and facades throughout the ‘Jungle House’ on Guarujá Beach. Accoya wood was also used for some of the interior paneling and room furniture as well as for unique MUXARABI joineries. This is a special type of joinery used by architects to enhance the aestetic design of a project as the joinery acts as a light filter providing varying projections of light throughout the day. The architect chose not to apply any colour, leaving Accoya in its natural grey state therefore complimenting the beautiful surroundings of the project. Accoya was also chosen due to its incredible durability to withstand Brazil’s intense heat and humidity. We were honored to work with Caleb Mulvena and his team at Studio Mapos on the wood flooring and decking of this custom spec house where wood’s natural beauty is on full display. Through Studio Mapos’ disciplined design and the quality craftsmanship of Gentry Construction, our wide-plank oak floors have a truly inspiring canvas from which to shine. Michael Moran/OTTP
