These roughly laid stone columns and simple garden gate lead to a guesthouse disguised as an old barn.

The stone tiled drive leads to the front entrance flanked by ledge stone pillars. The gentle curve of the pergola is mirrored by the curved top of the entrance gate.

These clients had a small back yard. They wanted to maximize the space for entertaining and relaxing. We created a walled courtyard with veneer limestone walls, a three fountain wall water feature, and a fire feature. It's lit at night with gas lanterns, which are from New Orleans.

This highly customized fire pit area includes a seating wall partially wrapping around the fire pit. The wall then flares out to allow more space for comfortable rocking chairs. Special concrete paver patterns were used around the area to add some flair. The fire pit was capped with bullnose to provide a more finished appearance. A Zentro fire pit insert was chosen due to its ability to greatly reduce wood smoke.

Techo-Bloc materials were utilized throughout, as well as locally manufactured copper lighting and LED wall lighting. This project began just before Thanksgiving, and continued until the end of the year. Construction of the patio resumed in March, and landscaping was completed in May after installation of pool fence and a custom designed cedar arbor. All the pillars and retaining walls received a custom tiered cap, adding more architectural detail to this masterpiece of an outdoor living space!

The rustic cedar pavilion was customized to integrate with the fireplace, which is the crowning feature of this outdoor kitchen! Standing seam metal roofing will provide low maintenance. LED lighting was used throughout, including the up/down lights on the pavilion posts.

They provide a clear way of containing elements both functional and ornamental. Plus, they help prevent the wanderings of both pets and young children. Properly designed and constructed fences will add beauty and value to your property.

Small front garden with space for parking two cars but still with lots of colour. The pedestrian gate was copied to create larger gates for car access. The stone pillars were recycled from the original wall.
