"The circular seating area links a large side yard with the equally large front yard, giving both a raison d'etre.
The rounded "carpet" of crushed stone has some nice detailing, including the block edging and the flagstone path that cuts through it. Not too casual; not too formal. Definitely inviting.
The rounded area (complete with two charming turquoise Adirondack chairs and a small side table) serves the same purpose as a front porch, providing bonus seating to the two benches on the entry threshold of this traditional home. This side yard treatment is both attractive and neighbor friendly."

Liquidscapes
From this partially wooded lot with it grass pasture evolved a home for our clients to spend time with their family and grand kids. Simplicity, ease and open spaces for the family and kids to play and enjoy was the goal here. This was more of a six month residence during the warmer seasons for outdoor living. A small artificial putting was installed for grandpa to teach his grandchildren the art of putting. The property had heavy deer pressure, so we had a limited planting pallet. We also needed to achieve a farm and forest management assessment for tax purposes.
Sudbury Design Group
This stately, Chestnut Hill, circa 1890, brick home sits on idyllic grounds of mature planting.
Our objective was to integrate the new with the old world charm of the property. We achieved this with additional plantings, seasonal color, restoring and adding masonry walls and steps as well as the installation of an elegant eurocobble drive and courtyard.
