What are the shortcomings of drywall construction?Gypsum drywalls cannot be used for exterior walls as they cannot withstand external weather conditions such as heavy rain and winds. These walls are not resistant to moisture, so they should not be used as the internal walls of bathrooms. They are prone to damage caused by water and become a breeding ground for mould and mildew.Gypsum drywalls cannot be used to construct a curved internal wall as it is not a flexible material.Unlike brick masonry construction, the joint lines of adjoining boards may be visible in gypsum drywalls. These walls are not as strong as brick.
