Entertainment Galore!

This wall unit is semi built-in. (Each cabinet is made separately and installed on top of the stone floor and screwed to the wall.) This condo could not have a gas or wood fireplace so we used electric. It is a nice subtle accent and adds a little warmth on cold winter days. The black fireplace inset surround ties the black piano in to the space that is mostly off white. The glass doors add relief to the top of the cabinetry. The doors have wide applied molding along the edges to add detail and clarity. The large molding at the top is layered (the center cabinet is 8" higher than the side cabinets) this gives an interesting top line to an otherwise long expanse of flat ceiling. The fluted columns frame the fireplace. The spaniels are an inherited accent that add a softened touch to the otherwise linear built-in. Robert Benson Photography, H&B Woodworking
