Dragon ouroboros pebble mosaic

Here is a closer view of the pebble mosaic. Each stone is set into mortar. The pattern is a dragon coiling around in a circle and 'eating' its tail. It is a multi-cultural symbol with several meanings, one of which is 'the circle of time'. The central circle is planted in thyme. This won a Sunset Garden Design award in their 2004 competition.
