Dining Room Extension in Scottish Borders

This is an single storey extension designed by Kevin White Architecture to create a new formal dining room with direct access to the garden and although north facing taking in the views of the countryside beyond. The room was to be bright and airy and now creates a flow between the breakfasting kitchen and other living accommodation, all of which can be opened up to create a large space with pocket sliding glazed doors. The pallet of materials used match those of the existing house and the works were carried out on budget by a local contractor and completed by December 2014. Photographs by Kevin White Architecture
