L2 Interiors "Bedroom Suite" for the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts. NH Rather provided custom artwork to compliment the theme and color pallet created by L2. A harmonious balance is struck between a contemporary, young feel and a transitional elegance. Custom designed elements throughout the space bring unique character to the suite. The first distinctive element noticed when entering the room is the flooring. It is a sustainably grown cork that adds a contemporary, yet responsible, flare while also providing warmth and comfort to the space. Across the room from the entrance is a gorgeous picturesque window that is complemented by a sleek all-glass desk and a completely custom-designed organically shaped sofa. A new addition to the room is a library reading nook that creates a cozy corner to indulge in a favorite book. This sits next to the custom-designed bed frame that features and oversized and elegant headboard. Navigating to the other half of the suite requires passing through the dressing room, which has been updated to include a new makeup vanity while the rest of the original wood cabinetry has been restored in a “milk-paint” glazed finish. Beyond the dressing room you reach the newly expanded bathroom. The grey limestone floors set the tone for the spa-like experience. A new air-jet tub is surrounded by elegant marble design, which is intricately cute to create an eye-catching pattern. A new oak vanity, heated towel bar, updated lighting fixtures and finished complete the new bedroom suite. The perfect place to escape and gather thoughts.

This huge hallway landing space was transformed from a neglected area to a cozy corner for sipping coffee, reading, relaxing, hosting friends and soaking in the sunlight whenever possible. In this space I tried to use most of the furniture client already possessed. So, it's a great example of mixing up different materials like wooden armchair, marble & metal nesting tables, upholstered sofa, wood tripod lamp to create an eclectic yet elegant space.
