Briar Creek Farm
The transparent Kitchen hutch, built of salvaged old growth heart pine, while demising the Kitchen and Dining, is transparent enough to permit visual connection of the spaces.

What Houzz contributors are saying:
6. Divide and conquer! Use a partition wall that is also a pass-through. Here it partitions the kitchen and the dining area. Similar to bookshelves in functionality, this integrated, punctured “wall” can both serve for the open-floor plan as well as provide seclusion when needed. Because it is flanked by a narrow open entry, it offers a sense of openness as well as enclosure.
