The Kitchen was upgraded three folds with a better planned layout from the existing one turning it into a fully modern and equipped modular Kitchen from Blum with a much better planned servant quarter. Corian counters and wall dados and PU shutters lend a sleek and stark modern look.

1. A durable countertopIndian cooking can be heavy-duty, given the frying, prepping and variety of spices involved – and it becomes even more so in large (or joint) families, where the kitchen gets busier. As such, a strong and durable countertop is of primary importance. Granite and quartz as countertop materials are the most popular, followed closely by solid surface (for example, Corian). These materials are hardy, non-porous, stand up to a good amount of wear and tear, don’t stain easily and require comparatively less maintenance.Which Is the Best Kitchen Countertop Material?

Cons:It is susceptible to damage from heat, such as hot utensils. It is easy to scratch and dent.Note: Solid surface can be made with polyester particles, too. This looks the same as the acrylic one but is not recommended for kitchen use, unlike Corian, which is certified safe for food contact.

What are the similarities between granite and marble countertops?Marble and granite are quite similar in the following respects:Both marble and granite are available in the form of slabs.Being a natural stone, the appearance of marble and granite varies from slab to slab because the stone’s colour depends on the quarry from which it is cut.Marble and granite are porous in nature and require to be sealed periodically.Note: Marble slabs are usually smaller in size than granite slabs. Hence, we require more slabs of marble than granite to complete the same kitchen.

3. Chimney suction powerChoose the chimney with the correct suction power (suction power is measured in cubic metres per hour – usually expressed as m3/hr). For the Indian style of cooking, the suction power of the chimney should range between 400 and 1000 cubic metres per hour, depending on the size of your kitchen.

How does cooking create indoor air pollution? The heating and combustion from gas burners produces harmful gases such as nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde and carbon monoxide.Fine particulate matter (PM) is also released while cooking. These are tiny particles of pollutants that can get directly inhaled and affect one’s health and overall well-being.
