Astor Street Residence

The architecture of this space was designed by Marvin Herman & Associates, and the interior design was provided by Leslie Jones & Associates. They did an excellent job of incorporating the art deco exterior while making the interior unique to their client. From our end, the floor-to-ceiling wall paneling/cabinetry brings warmth to the space and presents unique challenges in veneer matching and ensuring adjoining members are level, plumb, and true. The species, quartered non-figured anigre, is one of our favorite species and cuts because of the depth and pronounced grain pattern.
