5. APPLIANCE CUPBOARDS When we do a kitchen, a lot of the times there is no room for the small appliances or microwave, so they would end up on the counter. We don't like the clutter and to lose the counter space, so we make a lot of appliance cupboards. Sometimes they are built-in at the end of a cabinet run, but most of the time they are a freestanding furniture piece that looks like an antique cupboard. They can hold a microwave, mixer, blender, coffee maker, toaster, or keurig coffee machine. We have also put in an integrated ice maker or SubZer Frig or Freezer drawers. We have even put a TV in the top of the upper cupboard.
