This former modular shower was expanded by carving additonal space out of a storage space above the stairs and lifting the ceiling to allow the skylight. Smart bathroom planning keeps necessities handy -- and out of the way. An organizer on the closet door and tiled shower niches make use of often unused space. Keep towels and toiletries within reach with a pullout drawer and a double-bin organizer.

An existing house was deconstructed to make room for 7200 SF of new ground up construction including a main house, pool house, and lanai. This hillside home was built through a phased sequence of extensive excavation and site work, complicated by a single point of entry. Site walls were built using true dry stacked stone and concrete retaining walls faced with sawn veneer. This 1980’s log home had wood everywhere, and by the time we got to the master bath remodel, the clients wanted a space without exposed wood, and something much more luxurious. After vacationing in Rome, the homeowners wanted a master suite inspired by "The Eternal City".
