Outdoor Living Oasis
Outdoor Living Oasis
Dallas Renovation Group
With the goal of creating a larger and more functional outdoor environment, custom made for year-round outdoor living and entertaining, this oasis was created. By substantially raising the roof, we more than doubled the usable patio space near the home, creating a warm and luxurious outdoor living space with a TV and fireplace, and a one-of-a-kind seated outdoor kitchen, that sits just underneath a custom-made 8’ x 10’ lit copper awning. The entire area is finished 16” x 24” Ankara Travertine on the floor, a Mexican Noce fireplace surround, cedar herringbone soffit, an infrared heater, canvas wind drapery, and a custom woven copper soffit vault.

Creekside Cottage-Kiawah Island
The Anderson Studio of Architecture & Design
Photo Credit: Holger Obenaus Description: Built as a refuge for a busy California couple, this creek-side cottage was constructed on land populated with ancient live oaks; sited to preserve the oaks and accentuate the creek-side vistas. The owners wanted their Kiawah home to be less formal than their primary residence, ensuring that it would accommodate 3 – 4 vacationing couples. Volumes, room shapes and arrangements provide classical symmetries, while careful detailing with variations in colors, finishes and furnishings provide soothing spaces for relaxation.

This brick and stone residence on a large estate property is an American version of the English country house, and it pays homage to the work of Harrie T. Lindeberg, Edwin Lutyens and John Russell Pope, all practitioners of an elegant country style rooted in classicism. Features include bricks handmade in Maryland, a limestone entry and a library with coffered ceiling and stone floors. The interiors balance formal English rooms with family rooms in a more relaxed Arts and Crafts style. Landscape by Mark Beall and Sara Fairchild

This three-story, 11,000-square-foot home showcases the highest levels of craftsmanship and design. With shades of soft greys and linens, the interior of this home exemplifies sophistication and refinement. Dark ebony hardwood floors contrast with shades of white and walls of pale gray to create a striking aesthetic. The significant level of contrast between these ebony finishes and accents and the lighter fabrics and wall colors throughout contribute to the substantive character of the home. An eclectic mix of lighting with transitional to modern lines are found throughout the home. The kitchen features a custom-designed range hood and stainless Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. I think this is one of my favorite bedrooms that I designed! I deliberately put the bed in front a group of French doors as I need to re orient the room. All furnishings are available trough JAMIESHOP.COM
