African Inspiration

The cabinets are by Crystal Cabinet Works. Design by Will Gowdy for Sunday Kitchen & Bath. The cabinets are Lyptus--a hybrid tree that combines the Eucalyptus with a fast growing Brazilian tree. The result is a dense hardwood that resembles Mahogany. Lyptus is great for flooring, cabinetry and mill work. It's usually darkly stained because the natural grain is so varied--pink, yellow, gray. In this case the stain is Raisin with a Black Highlight. The Palo Alto door style has a lot of depth and a simple, transitional overall look.
