A Small Green Home

Originally, this small living room had four doors, two windows and a fireplace, so there was no wall that was long enough for a full-sized sofa. The door to the second bedroom (on the left) was a double French door. Converting it to a single, wood door created enough wall space for the full-sized sofa. Glass, metal and leather furniture define the iconic look of modern design in the room. The clean lines and metallic surfaces of modern design often create cool spaces, but painting the walls brown and beige rather than gray or white warms up this space.
