From other pictures of this room, I know that this bedroom sports a large window that looks out over the city. Most likely, the designer wanted the person in the bathroom to be able to enjoy the view as well. Would you want such a view from the bathroom if it meant giving up privacy?

I have to admit, you can never beat a view of the water, especially from a shower. Just watch out for canoes!
This wall of windows certainly lets the light shine in. Unfortunately, it may aid a wandering eye as well.
