Ribbed grey wainscoting accents the ivory walls. The three-way seating area is composed of moss-green and daisy-white sofas, and pewter armchairs.

The dining room is separated from the living room by the central staircase. With a bare minimum of colours and accents, the dining area is a lesson in Nordic minimalism. The polished stone table and tufted bottle-blue chairs provide a bold offset against the pale spartan walls. Paired paintings in brilliant hues lift the room to a convivial mood. A crystal halo chandelier tops the setting.

The kitchen, an open-plan one, is visible from the dining area. The white breakfast counter double-hats as a divider. Deep-blue cabinets define the above-counter storage while the under-counter cabinets feature a white high-polish finish. A sweeping window sits above the stove, presenting glimmers of the green outdoors.

The older daughter’s attached bathroom complements the bedroom palette. Wooden wall panelling stands in for a backsplash.
Tosar and Kavaiya created a frill-free, unfussy look for the younger daughter’s bedroom. The grey floor underpins a light colour scheme made up of a white wooden bed, exposed white brick walls, and a vanilla vanity and television console. The grey headboard anchors the bed to the space.
Opposite the bed, a wooden study table occupies the corner beside the television.
“The younger daughter is an artist and her artworks are on proud display above her headboard. Thus, the room earns a deeply personal touch,” notes Tosar.

In the younger daughter’s ensuite bathroom, the blue-and-white backsplash mimics the bedroom’s white exposed-brick walls. The all-white vanity, too, holds a mirror to the white furniture scheme of the bedroom.
The second floor has the entertainment den and terrace. The den channels a warm and cosy atmosphere with burnt-orange walls, copper-toned futons and soft mood lighting. The dove-grey floor is mirrored by the raftered cement oxide ceiling.
“This is where the family unwinds, and entertains friends and relatives. The area is multipurpose so it’s a haven for games, movies and lounging,” Kavaiya says.
Adds Tosar, “We amped up the colour scheme to make the room vibrant and fun. Also, the seating is modular and can be switched up to suit the occasion.”

The den leads out to a terrace, where, per Tosar and Kavaiya, lies the home’s crown jewel: a gazebo with retractable glass roof and doors. The relaxed seating, blue-striped floor tiles and bird-inspired wall art nod to the outdoors while offering air-conditioned respite from the sultry year-round heat.
“In Gujarat, most of the year is humid and sunny. The covered gazebo offers a serene, air conditioned gateway to the outdoors, regardless of the temperature outside,” notes Kavaiya.
