The formal living room is defined by a gold-and-fuchsia palette and traditional accents by way of a sari-inspired rug and Kishangarh artworks. Gold and indigo sofas, along with wine-toned armchairs, compose the seating area, while suede wall panelling, embellished with hand-detailed octagons, channels an Art Deco spirit.
“The space is accentuated by contemporary furniture, customised in Italy,” says Garg.

Characterised by floor-to-ceiling fenestrations, a double-height ceiling and hushed hues, the family lounge appears voluminous and well-lit. A multicolour area rug and a plum-toned armchair inject a splash of vibrancy into the spartan scheme. Twin artwork panels rest against the wall, giving the contemporary decor a trad edge.
The lounge area looks outwards, making an indoor-outdoor connection that expands the space.

The family lounge flows into the dining room, continuing the double-height ceiling. An antique-style dining table with ornate gilt, cream and grey lacquered frame and legs and an amazonite table-top takes centre stage. Chesterfield chairs flank the table on either side, their minimalist upholstery counterbalancing the richness of the table. Behind the dining table, a staircase leads to the upper floors.
A gilded elevator, framed by grey panelling, stands between the lounge and the dining room.

The puja room brims with artisanal elements.
“The pink lotus artwork on the walls is hand-painted by artists, while the brass door takes inspiration from ancient step wells in the way its niches have been designed,” Garg says.
“Silver artisans from Udaipur were specially invited on board to create these from embossed sheets.”

The master bedroom and the two daughters’ bedrooms are located on the first floor.
The master bedroom is 30 feet long and combines modish monochrome forms with ornate flourishes. The brandy-lacquered cabana bed is enriched with golden finials, while a gilded baroque frame embellishes the wall above the headboard.

A television unit in blush-pink and gold defines the wall opposite, anchored by a pair of matching tufted armchairs.
“The older daughter is a budding fashion designer, which is reflected in the design choices in her room,” says Garg.
The hooded headboard, upholstered in a pink kilim fabric, channels the feel of a French carriage. Blue cotton-velvet panels fit the sides of the bed, while Aztec artwork on the adjacent wall mirrors the triangular forms of the kilim rugs on the floor.
“The hood design is continued on the media console. A lot of patterns are introduced by the carpets and throws,” shares Garg.

The bedroom also features a red carved wood dressing table, situated opposite the bedroom door.
“In the future, the space will double as a studio for her photo shoots and design work. The pop of ruby enlivens the deep grey shell, while the classical design and modern finishes project a transitional theme. The gerberas and lilies on the wall behind are all hand-painted. We didn’t use wallpapers at all,” Garg says.

“The lobby between the daughters’ bedrooms acts as a circulation area between the various chambers,” continues Garg.

The younger daughter’s bedroom sports a quiet palette of beige and navy blue. Deep-blue upholstered panels background the bed, lending tactility and colour to the pared-back neutral theme, creating a dynamic balance that breathes quiet character.

A bijou lounge lies outside the daughters’ bedrooms. Here, a buttoned bench and a leather sectional offer seating for relaxed evenings. Pops of verdure appear through petite planters, while a crystal chandelier adds its elegant presence.
