1. Clear the sink, counters and wall storage
- Clear all exposed surfaces – take away all items from the counters (jars, containers, appliances, and so on) and the walls (open shelves, wall hanging storage, hanging baskets and other stuff).
- Sort through the things as you go and discard all unwanted, broken and expired items.
2. Start from the top
- Use a duster to remove lodged grime and debris from the top surfaces of the shelves, cabinets and refrigerator.

- Wipe the jars and boxes before storing them back.

4. Clean the appliances

- Install the detachable parts back in the appliance. In case of the fridge, put the containers and food items back after discarding the stale ones.

- Scrub the stains away, wipe the entire surface with a microfibre cloth and then wipe again with a clean, damp cloth.
- Oil-based stains or spills can be removed using a thick paste of baking soda and water, or any other suitable cleaner that will not harm your particular countertop type.
