Do you celebrate Diwali? We'd love to see how you've decorated your home for this year's festival of lights
Happy Diwali Houzzers! Wherever you may be, we’d love to see how you’re celebrating the festival of lights in your home. Diwali, or Deepavali is right around the corner on Sunday, October 30. It marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year, and the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Families celebrate the festival by cleaning house, finishing renovation projects, giving presents and lighting candles and lamps, making it one of the brightest festivals anywhere in the world.

For most, Diwali is a time to bring out the diyas, light up the candles, string up the fairy lights and make the house ready for dinners and celebrations with family. It’s a time when a warm sparkle envelops the home. Perhaps you are also planning a feast with family and friends?
Lights aside, what other decor and traditions mean ‘Diwali’ to you – from flowers to colourful accessories? What goodies do you plan to serve? We’d love to have your recipes. And your tips on how you are managing the challenges when it comes to making all the preparations!
