There is a skylight in one of the pictures.

So for those asking about the separate door to the old bathroom I would presume that this was another bedroom made into a bathroom by previous owners. I also agree that the toilet could be easily closed in if the end of the shower had a solid wall and a door to the toilet. Also the person asking about the closets. The two walk in ones are the same size but there are many more closets inside the main bedroom. Also I see both a window and skylight in the bathroom so plenty of light and lastly before pictures are usually taken by the owner who does not have the benefit of extra lighting to make the pictures light. Having said all that I do not find the bathroom to my taste and wonder why they did not put in Medicine cupboards behind the mirrors.

Wow! I think that the "after" layout greatly improves both spaces. When I went to design school we were told that having the bed across from the room entrance was the most preferable placement. And, having more closet space can only improve life for two professionals. I agree that having either the freestanding tub or the vanity cabinet placed across from the entry provides a pleasing visual impact, especially when you have a double door entry. The toilet has been tucked off to the least conspicuous area and I like that it's not enclosed because I think it would have decreased the open airy feeling that now exists in the space. I do have one question - how did you connect the toilet to the stack? Speaking as a bath designer and a teacher of bath design, I would give this re-designed master bath suite an "A"+.
